Featured Presentation: Supplier Diversity – Working with Disability-Owned Business Enterprises (DOBE)

Join Mark Ellson (President and CEO at JEMNI Inc.) and Cindy Ulven (President and CEO at Accelerated Engraving and Signage, LLC) as they share their experiences as Disability-Owned Business Enterprises (DOBEs).

We will hear about their respective companies, how they became a certified DOBE, and their recommendations for accessing and leveraging DOBEs as part of your Supplier Diversity initiatives.

George Foley (Marketing & Business Development Manager at 3M) will talk about the US Business Leadership Network’s Disability Supplier Diversity Program, his experience working with DOBEs, and 3M’s initiatives aimed at improving supplier diversity.


Mark Ellson, President and CEO of JEMNI Inc., has a long and distinguished career of providing products and services to fortune 500 manufacturing and medical segments.  His background includes more than twenty years of progressive senior leadership in Fortune 500 and large private manufacturing companies. 

JEMNI helps companies with sourcing products and supply chain management. Mark is an Army Combat Veteran and is committed to hiring our disabled Veterans and reducing the disabled Veteran unemployment rate.  

Cindy Ulven, President and CEO of Accelerated Engraving and Signage, LLC, brings over 16 years of experience using rotary engraving, laser engraving, vinyl plotters and cedar sandblasted signs. Her 38 years of sales and management experience, 2 terms representing Business serving on the MN SRC (State Rehabilitation Council), the SRC Executive Committee and owner of Extended Family House, an Adult Foster care home for residents with disabilities in Moorhead, MN has given her great insights in the disability segments of business.

Her company custom designs and manufactures ADA Braille signage, directional way finder signage, and interior/exterior signage for Architects and Engineers. Their projects consist of signing all commercial and public buildings including hospitals and healthcare facilities, schools, state colleges, apartment buildings and government buildings.

Cindy is also a National licensed provider for the Raster method of Braille and is honored to provide all the Braille signage for our National Institute of the Blind offices and state buildings in NY and Alexandria, VA. Her company also provides personalized lasered acrylic and wood award plaques for corporations, schools and businesses.

  • Place: 3M Corporate Headquarters, 3M Center, 2501 Hudson Rd., Maplewood, MN 55144.  The meeting will be in Building 224 and held in America’s Room. Visitor parking is available north of the building entrance.
