Employer Assistance Referral Network (EARN)
Summary
The Employer Assistance Referral Network (EARN) is a nationwide cost-free referral and technical assistance service for employers.

EARN connects employers who have job vacancies to employment service providers who have direct access to job ready individuals with disabilities. EARN also provides technical assistance to assist employers in locating appropriate organizations and information as they seek to hire qualified candidates with disabilities.

EARN opened to the public and is actively recruiting employers and employment service providers nationwide.

Disability Employment 101: Learn to Tap Your "HIRE" Potential
Summary
The U.S. Department of Education, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has released a guide to acquaint business leaders with programs and resources available to assist them in hiring people with disabilities.

The jointly developed publication, "Disability Employment 101: Learn to Tap Your 'HIRE' Potential," includes information about how to find qualified workers with disabilities, how to put disability and employment research into practice and how to model what other businesses have done to successfully integrate individuals with disabilities into the workforce.

Among other things, the 56-page guide provides information regarding department-funded vocational rehabilitation agencies, Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers, and Centers for Independent Living. It also includes checklists and various other resources to aid employers as they prepare to employ people with disabilities.

Summary
The US Dept. of Justice Civil Rights Division has produced a thirteen-minute video that identifies common mistakes small businesses make when trying to comply with the ADA and addresses the importance and value of doing business with 50 million people with disabilities. The video features statements by store owners expressing their doubts or misunderstandings about the ADA followed by responses from Assistant Attorney General R. Alexander Acosta and other Department of Justice employees explaining the law in common sense terms.
